At the start of September, we went on a school trip to Glencoe with Mr Campbell, Miss Davies and Will Wright.
On the first day, we climbed to the top of Stob Coire nan Lochan, which is about 1200m high. We were exhausted by the time we got to the top, were battered by strong winds and rain on the way down but we enjoyed every minute of it.
The next day, we climbed up a steep ridge near to Stob Coire nan Lochan.
We had to be connected by ropes in order to climb the steep sides, and we often found ourselves clambering over rocks right above extreme drops.
On our last day, we climbed up Sgòrr Dearg . It was a lot like the day before but without the ropes. We were all tired after the previous two days’ climbing but we still enjoyed it immensely.
The trip to Glencoe was undoubtedly the best school trip we have ever been on. We all enjoyed it and would like to thank everyone who made the trip possible with their generous contributions. We raised in the region of £1000 for the Scottish Air Ambulance Fund. Thanks again to everyone who helped and sponsored us.
