New Manager For Lodge Hotel

Tony Kearney, a reporter with the BBC, is being filmed by BBC alba trying his hand at various careers in and around Scotland, including being a Trawlerman and working in Search and Rescue.

For his fourth experience he is going to be a hotel manager at Tiree Lodge Hotel during Wave Classic Week. He has already been through his licensing training and his Health & Safety training with Aileen so he should be able to “hit the ground running!”

Knowing how the Surfers love to party, it’s not difficult to imagine that Tony’s experience will not only be entertaining but also highly memorable.

  • I wish Tony all the very best of luck for his stint as Manager at The Tiree Lodge Hotel during the Wave Classic week. I have very fond memories, having done the job over no fewer than 10 Classics. I am sure that he will have to work very hard and long to keep it on track, but the rewarding satisfaction of seeing staff, locals and surfers alike having a great time as only the Lodge can do. I look forward to hearing how it went.
